Dynomotive Automotive Engineers was established in 1974 by Chris Hodges from Dyno Dynamcs.

Mark Trounson, one of Australia’s master tuners, purchased Dynomotive in 1990 and has committed the past 15 years towards creating one of the country’s leading Dyno tuning facilities.

Dynomotive caters specifically for the performance enthusiast and offers not one, but two superb dyno facilities. Mark has a substantial investment with a DYNO DYNAMICS Dynomax 650 2WD Dyno, and a brand new "Possum Bourne" signature series 4WD Dyno.

With many years of research and development, combined with extensive involvement in motor racing ,the team at Dynomotive Automotive Engineers are a one stop, complete hi performance tuning house.

The Car

Recently Mark had the opportunity to enhance the performance output of a Queensland based twin turbo Maloo ute. This car has been used to demonstrate the benefits of Martini Racing Fuel.
The engine is a 383 cubic inch stroker LS1, ported LS6 truck heads that give a 9.8:1 comp ratio, small camshaft, good valve train, F.A.S.T. manifold, 90mm throttle, full twin turbo A.P.S, kit with modified turbo’s. It also has custom exhaust headers with a twin 3" exhaust system.

The Tune

The Maloo ute was dialled in with a "safe" tune on BP 98 Ultimate and 15psi boost. It made a very respectable 717.8 rwhp (535.3rwkw). Mark was very satisfied that that tune was the best available, considering the high performance restrictions with pump fuel.

Most would be happy with that level of power but the owner wanted his daily driver to have something special for race days and dyno competitions.

With the ute normally living in QLD we set up two tunes with the second pcm programmed for the Martini Super Turbo 1400 fuel mix at a 50/50 ratio with BP Ultimate, giving an approximate Octane rating of 104.
The second tune was essentially the same except for slightly more spark advance and leaner fuel trims **Note Boost was left the same at 15psi.
The Result.
The result was very impressive, with the power jumping to 762.3 rwhp (568.5rwkw)

That is a 44 RWHP gain over the 98 octane set up, refer graph.

This car is a daily driver and in fact it drives that nicely you could let your mum get behind the steering wheel. Some mothers have all the fun!
